World Language

    The World Language Department at PRHS is dedicated to providing our students with a culturally enriching and cognitively challenging second language learning experience. We understand that the ability to communicate in more than one language and being culturally aware is a critical need for today’s students in order to prepare them to be responsible participants in our expanding global community. The curriculum of the World Language Department is aligned with national and local goals and standards. The World Language Department strives to engage students through the three modes of communication: interpersonal, interpretive and presentational. Students participating in second language study will acquire, develop, and re-enforce the four language skills of speaking, reading, writing and listening while demonstrating knowledge and understanding of the cultures being studied.
